I'm a TED and TEDx speaker and a former organizer of the Polyglot Gathering, one of the biggest world events for polyglots. You would think that all of us would be fluent as adults but in reality we can see that it doesn’t really work that way. After all those years of learning we still can’t use the language confidently let alone be fluent.
A special niche in your bedroom, kitchen or family room will also suffice. There are some languages that are harder to learn than others, so be patient with yourself in the learning process. You might think back to your days of language learning and think you need to do blocks of one hour three times a week.

But it has everything to do with the way you’re learning. But there’s one thing you can do to make sure you don’t give up – make your learning process interesting and fun. Although you’ll probably learn how to have a basic conversation in less than a month, you shouldn’t feel frustrated if it’s not what you’ve expected it to be. However, having a perfect accent isn’t so important. For example, if you’re learning English, you should know the difference between sheep and ship. And you should probably know how to pronounce beaches.
Some may think that language learning at home is difficult, as they assume you can't interact with people outside of your online lesson. In addition to enrolling on a language course, joining a language exchange group is a great opportunity to speak to likeminded individuals who want to develop their language skills. This means that you can practice outside of your language lessons.

You can find free books, e-books, podcasts, videos—all related to the language that you most badly want to learn. And guess what, you can access all of it at home with the click of a mouse or a tap of the touchscreen. So I suggest you find a better excuse than, “it’s too expensive,” because that’s not gonna fly in this day and age.
If that's too difficult, start by changing either one of them in your own language. Using a mix of resources, books, and other programs is optimal for covering all the bases of language learning. Watch television shows and movies without the subtitles. This includes soap operas, news shows, even shows you already know that have been dubbed into the language.

Brain studies have shown that learning is facilitated by performing fun activities. The brain pays more attention to the lesson when it’s delivered in a novel and engaging way. Because of this, the lesson is saved in the long-term memory and is ready to be accessed at any moment.
And this makes language learning even more exciting and fun. The Foreign Service Institute offers free online language learning materials, which include audio recordings which help with learning pronunciation. The Duolingo app and BBC Languages also offer various languages and useful pronunciation tips. Learning a foreign language can be difficult, but if you follow certain techniques, soon you'll be able to learn any language. Although there's no easy way to go about it, with some hard work and practice, you can be fluent in no time.
